Description
Protecting yourself and others from workplace injury
Workplace accidents, from small slips to electrical fires, can have detrimental impacts on workplace productivity and wellbeing. WHS accidents can cause lasting damage to property and can also lead to debilitating injuries in extreme cases. It’s up to everyone in the workplace to appropriately respond to WHS risks.
Our Practical WHS course is designed to give learners the practical skills to identify, manage and avoid a wide range of potential WHS risks. Covering office place risks, ergonomic hazards and fire emergencies, the three modules in this course comprehensively outline the various ways that injury can occur in a workplace. Quizzes and interactive scenarios test the practical skills of learners and provide realistic examples of how WHS incidents can occur.
The modules also focus on the general wellbeing of employees, including strategies for maintaining good posture to avoid eye and neck strain while working at a computer. The course also highlights safe manual handling strategies, for those whose work involves lifting or moving objects around. These lessons emphasise that workplace safety is a collective responsibility, with every individual responsible for the safety of themselves, and those around them.
Practical Work Health and Safety is part of our comprehensive suite of compliance eLearning courses.
